Make Your Own Mint Tea!

I've got tea, y'all.

Haha real tea.

I'm writing to you on Christmas night- happy Christmas!  Holidays can make me anxious because of all the treats and "unhealthy" food.  The truth is, there's no solid definition of "healthy" and we deserve to treat ourselves.  But it is nice to have something to refresh yourself, and this tea does the trick for any time of the winter day.

This tea cleanses the palate, settles the stomach, warms the body, and is so easy to make- literally, three ingredients and one of them is water.

Healing Mint Tea
1/2 teaspoon of fresh mint leaves, packed  OR 1/4 teaspoon dried mint leaves
2 cloves
a mug of water

If you have a tea-steepy thing: put the mint and cloves in the tea steepy thing and make the tea normally.

If you don't have a tea-steepy thing: boil the herbs in 1 cup of water, either on the stove in a kettle/pot or in the microwave in a microwave-safe mug/measuring cup.  Strain the water into your mug.

This is the tea-steepy thing.  I think it's actually called a steeper, so I'm not
too far off.
This is so simple it shouldn't even be a recipe, but I feel like not many people realize how simple it is to make your own tea.  DIY tea is not only fun, but it also reduces waste from teabags!  If you want a summery tea, try my tropical mango-hibiscus tea.

Take care of yourselves and have a happy holiday, regardless of what holiday you celebrate!

World peace and love,
Heather <3
