The Really Good Green Smoothie


As much as I love my smoothies, very rarely do I actually repeat a recipe.  Usually, I just throw ingredients into a blender and hope it turns out good.

There is one smoothie, however, that I have written down a recipe for because it's just really good.  Which is why this post is titled "The Really Good Green Smoothie".

I think it's weird that green smoothies get treated differently from other smoothies simply because they're green.  Like any smoothie, a green smoothie can be nasty.  It can also be delicious.  This one is as delicious as it healthy.




 The really good green smoothie:

1 cup greens (I use spinach/arugula)
1/2 cup mango
1 banana
1 tbsp almond butter
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup orange juice

Blend all until smooth.


Like most things, drinking the smoothie while it's fresh is recommended.  However, I've made it the night before, kept it in the fridge overnight, had it for breakfast, and found that it was just as good.  Just give it a good stir before drinking!
