NaNoWriMo 2016: Day 11

It's difficult to fill over 1.5 thousand words a day with strictly plot, even along with subplots. As a result, much of my word count every day is character exploration. I venture into the thoughts of my main character and look at his past, his expectations for his future, the weird little things he thinks of. Yesterday I did that with my main character's dog, as well.

Although it doesn't contribute directly to the plot, it could in the future. Or maybe it helps me to better understand who I'm writing about. And, if neither of these is true, it at least helps me to put some words on the page and keep things moving.

As of today, my novel contains 18,696 words. Today I wrote 1,856 words. So NaNoWriMo is going pretty well!

World peace and love to all,

Heather <3
