Interview with Charlotte of Sunny Skies, Hazel Eyes

As mentioned in the previous post, I got the opportunity to interview the up-and-coming travel and style blogger, Charlotte of Sunny Skies, Hazel Eyes. She's recently been to South Africa and her photos of her adventures are stunning!

What's your #1 thing to do on long plane flights?
On long flights I like to make my own playlist on the airplane tv and listen to that.

Where do you hope your next destination will be?
I hope to go to Philadelphia this fall because I really want to see the fall colors we don't get in Florida and see the historical sites.

Do you have any tips for staying healthy while traveling?
To stay healthy while traveling I would say drink a lot of water to stay hydrated on flights and once you get to your destination to look for a lot of farm to table food because other countries have very fresh, healthy food compared to the United States.

What has been your scariest travel experience?
My scariest travel experience was probably coming back from Fiji when another passenger thought they'd seen a crack on the wing which meant there was a possibility of the plane tumbling over itself on the landing. They were wrong about the crack but it was still really scary!

How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as classic and preppy. Two of my style icons are Audrey Hepburn, who is just the epitome of classic, and Sarah Vickers, one of my favorite bloggers who has the preppiest, classiest, style.

What brought about your love for Maine and the northeast?
I've been traveling to the northeast since I was little, but going to summer camp in Maine for the first time when I was ten definitely sealed my love for New England. The region is just so beautiful and I love the people too!

Here's a classic. If you're stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you want to have with you?
This is a hard one... I guess I'd want to have a huge bottle of water with me.

Put your iTunes music on shuffle. What's the first song that comes up?
The first song that came on was "You're Not Sorry" by Taylor Swift.

You recently became a writer for theundeniablelife.com. What do you hope to bring to the site?
I really hope to do a lot of writing in their travel section, but it'd also be fun to write about the colleges I've been to or my style.

How many times a day, on average, do you estimate you wash your hands? I probably wash my hands five or six times a day.
