girl I never want to be your... little friendly abject failure

Of Montreal lyrics stuck in my head along with part of a Muse song.

The other day I met someone. This wasn't actually my first time meeting her, but it was the first time since I was in kindergarten.

We got along swimmingly. She likes anime(!) and kpop(!!) and writes(!!!) and she has a blog with really, really amazing poetry so it's almost definitely in your best interest to check it out.

While we're on the topic of anime, I recently went to a convention! It was one of them most amazing things I've ever experienced- a real dream come true. I wrote a lot about it on a rambling post I haven't put up yet. I wasn't planning on posting it, because I wrote it the day I spent entirely on the couch complaining about how crappy I felt, but-- maybe I will.

Have I mentioned that I'm in a band?
Sort of.

We're having a practice this Thursday, which indeed in New Years Eve. I think rocking out on New Years Eve is super punk rock. We're going to cover Things We Lost in the Fire by Bastille. I haven't listened to Bastille much, so it's very exciting. I always love getting into new bands.

If I haven't already said it, Merry Christmas! I wrote a good deal about Christmas on that post that I mentioned early, the one where I was laying on the couch all day.

In other news, I went through all my early LOTR fanfiction and compressed it into one document, thereby making it extremely hard to find. That stuff makes me shudder.

Sometimes I worry that I'll shudder looking back at these blog posts, too.
