NaNoWriMo 2015 Day 15

Hello, my friends. My words feel thick and clumsy. I've the week and this weekend writing and jamming in as many words as I possibly can. I skipped my writing on Thursday because I was busy and it was a big mistake, but I've managed to almost recover. I was seven days behind this morning, and now I'm only three days behind, so that's a plus.

I'm at 23,317 words. I'm 1,688 words from being on track, which is actually pretty motivational. I think I will be able to get on track.

My advice to anyone who is working through NaNoWriMo, or just writing at all in general, is to read the pep talks on the NaNoWriMo website. They're always very well written(of course) and always manage to get me pumped, inspired, and ready to write.

And here, as promised, is the latest paragraph to my novel, which happens to be a chunk of banter:

"Ruby," Lucy interrupted the rambling girl. "Ruby, it's fine. The bookstore is what, like, two blocks away from your house? And my car is parked at the store. I'll be fine. Thanks, though."

That's all. I now shall return to Skyping my brother and watching Bourne Legacy while eating chocolate Pannetone. (Did you know Bourne Legacy has Jeremy Renner in it? I LOVE that lil guy!)

Also the screws have been falling out of the bottom of my laptop. I think it might be symbolic, but I'm too literature-ed out to think about it. In addition to the novel I'm attempting to hike the word count for, I have to write an essay for school about Farenheit 451. If you haven't read it, go read it right now. Seriously. Our society may depend on you reading this book and not casting it into the fires.

Thoughts go out to the victims of all the awful stuff that's been happening in France, and anywhere else that's been under attack. Stay strong. <3
