DIY Calendar: April

Spring is in the air!

Where I live, leaves don't really change colors and fall of in autumn, nor do they bud in spring. But one of my favorite things about seasons is watching the different shades of green that the leaves turn. It's spring now, and the leaves are this refreshed and refreshing bright green.

A lot has happened since I last posted. I got sick. Then I went on a cruise for spring break. The cruise was, by the way, absolutely amazing and magnificent and hopefully I'll post about it sometime! Then my mom got sick. My sister's birthday was this past week so I sent her a bunch of Snapchats at midnight. Who could forget the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 5 Premiere, which I spent with one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world. It was spectacular! And of course there's Passover, and today is Easter(happy Easter! :)) and my mom, my dad, and I are all sick. Fun!

Anywho, I hope that's a sufficient excuse for why I'm so late on the calendar.

For my April calendar, I used a picture that was taken at a very small and small-town nerd convention, the picture featuring me and the friend mentioned above. As soon as it started coming off the printer, I realized that something was amiss(I just love that word, don't you?)- the printer was low on ink. Dun dun dun...
And that was how my calendar image for April has yellow stripes on it. But if anyone asks, I'm telling them it's an 'artsy filter' or something.

To add to that, the battery charger for the camera I normally photograph with is possibly with a friend on the other side of the country. We'll be able to get it back if it is located there, but until then, the camera can't be charged. (...That sounds really dark. We visited some friends in another state and left the battery there, nothing shady.) So, I've been using my iPod, which does take some nice pictures, they're just hard to upload and edit and such.

Speaking of which, I can't seem to get the photos of the calendar onto the blog.

Anywho, I have some posts planned, and hopefully I'll write them up soon.

Have a very happy Passover, Easter, or whatever you celebrate, and have a very good day!
Happy Spring~ :)
